Hi! My name is Mr. Pedroza, the Physical Education teacher at Longfellow Elementary. I began teaching for HPS in the fall of 2009. I am thrilled to be working with all the learners and staff at Longfellow. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Health & Physical Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. 
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also coach the Varsity Girls Soccer Program at Hastings Senior High. When I am not fulfilling those duties, I enjoy spending time with my family and participating in any activity related to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
As a physical education specialist I believe that the purpose of a quality program of physical education is to guide youngsters in the process of becoming physically active for a lifetime.
